Troubleshooting
Please note indoor aerials are not recommended for use with this product (this
includes loft aerials) otherwise you may experience problems with reception or
picture break-up on some channels.
Problem
Standby light not lit.
No signal found.
No picture or sound.
Scrambled channel
message.
No response to
remote control.
Forgotten PIN code.
You have moved your
digital box and are no
longer able to receive
digital channels.
Possible cause
1.
Mains adaptor
unplugged.
2.
Mains socket switched
off.
1.
Aerial is disconnected
2.
Aerial is damaged/
misaligned.
3.
Out of digital signal
area.
HDMI cable not securely
connected.
Volume is set to minimum
or mute.
Channel is scrambled.
1.
Digital box is switched
off.
2.
Remote control not
aimed correctly.
3.
Front panel obstructed.
4.
Remote control
batteries have run out.
What to do
1.
Connect mains adaptor.
2.
Switch on mains socket.
1.
Connect aerial lead.Check
aerial and connections.
2.
Ensure that you are capable
of receiving Digital TV.
3.
See www.freeview.co.uk
Check HDMI connections.
Check volume settings.
This digital box is not able to
decode scrambled channels
(subscription channels).
1.
Plug in and turn on plug.
2.
Aim remote control at the
front panel.
3.
Move obstructions from
the front of the digital box.
4.
Replace the remote control
batteries.
The default PIN is 0000.
