The electric motor has been designed for one voltage only. Always check that the power supply corresponds to the voltage on the rating plate. Note: The supply of 230V and 240V on Ozito tools are interchangeable for Australia and New Zealand. - Page 5 GENERAL 1. Keep work areas clean. Cluttered work areas and benches can cause accidents. 2. Consider work area environment. Do not expose your tool to high humidity or rain. Do not use your tool in damp and wet conditions. Keep the work area well lit. Do not use your tool where there is a risk of causing fire or explosion, e.g.

- Page 7 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR SILENT SHREDDERS Only use the shredder in dry conditions and never outdoors when it is raining. Never use the shredder with damaged safety devices or without protection. Ensure all customer assembled hex-screws and nuts are properly tightened before use. Wear protective gloves, safety glasses and avoid loose clothing.

OPERATION Direction Control Knob Prior to operation, the direction control knob has to be turned to either feeding or reverse feeding mode. When the control knob is in the centre, it is in the ‘’off ‘’ position (‘O’). When turned counter-clockwise, the shredder is in the feeding mode (as indicated by ). - Page 9 OPERATION (cont.) Motor Protection The shredder is equipped with a built-in motor protection system which prevents the motor being overloaded. In the event of overloading, the shredder will switch off automatically. If this occurs allow the motor to cool for 5 minutes and then proceed to shred your material.
