Both front channel speakers (r820-f) sound low and the horns sound distorted. I've tested the speakers, receiver (Denon x6700h), wire (12 gauge), interference and connections (banana plugs). I believe the issue is a setting or possibly under powered.

To resolve low sound and distorted horns on Klipsch REFERENCE R-820F speakers connected to a Denon X6700H receiver, adjust the following settings:
1. Speaker Impedance & Amplifier Matching: Ensure the Denon X6700H is set to handle 8-ohm speakers, as Klipsch speakers are typically 8-ohm compatible.
2. Speaker Placement: Place the speakers 6 to 15 feet apart and slightly toe-in for better stereo imaging, as recommended for Klipsch floorstanding speakers.
3. Crossover Settings: Set the crossover frequency to around 60-80Hz for floorstanding speakers to allow proper bass management.
4. Equalizer Adjustments: Reduce treble frequencies if the horns sound too harsh or distorted. Adjust midrange frequencies to balance the sound.
5. Audyssey Calibration: Run the Denon X6700H’s Audyssey room correction system to optimize speaker output based on room acoustics.
6. Volume & Gain Control: Avoid setting the volume too high, as excessive power can cause distortion. Ensure the amplifier is not overloading the speakers.
7. Speaker Connections: Use 16-12 gauge speaker wire and confirm that all connections are secure and correctly wired (red to red, black to black).
8. Source Quality: Ensure the audio source is high-quality and not overly compressed, as poor-quality sources can cause distortion.
These settings should help improve sound clarity and reduce distortion in the horns.
