SPECIFICATIONS
Problem

Possible Causes
y Water is leaking from a faucet or
water line.
y The drain pipe or drain hose is
clogged.
y Too much detergent for load size.
y Too much detergent for soil level.
y Detergent added directly to tub/
drum.
y Load left in tub/drum after cycle
finished.
y Load not sorted properly.
y Load left in tub/drum after cycle
finished.
y Tub/drum overloaded.
y Hot and cold water inlets reversed.
y Power cord not plugged in properly.
y House fuse blown, circuit breaker
tripped, power outage.
y Temperature in tub/drum too high.
y Water level in tub/drum too high.
y Tub/drum is overloaded or selected
options have increased the cycle
time.
y Incorrect detergent used.
y Tub needs to be cleaned and
maintained properly.
Solutions
y Check the faucets or water lines.
- If the water lines are loosely
connected, see page 14, Connecting
Water Lines, to connect them
properly.
y Unclog the drain pipe or drain hose.
Contact a plumber if necessary.
y Use the recommended amount of
detergent for the load.
y If the soil level is low, reduce the
detergent quantity to less than the
recommended level.
Only use detergent with the HE
(High-Efficiency) logo.
y Make sure to load detergent into the
detergent dispenser drawer.
y Remove the load immediately after
it finishes.
y Sort and separate dark colors from
light or white ones, and heavily
soiled items from lightly soiled
ones. See page 19, Sorting Laundry,
for details
y Remove the load immediately after
it finishes.
y Do not overload the tub.
y Hot water rinse can cause garments
to wrinkle. Check the inlet hose
connections.
y Make sure that the plug is secured
in a grounded 3-prong, 120 V (60 Hz)
outlet.
y Reset the circuit breaker or replace
the fuse. Do not increase the fuse
capacity. If the problem is a circuit
overload, have it corrected by a
qualified electrician.
y The washing machine has a safety
lock built into the door to prevent
burning. Leave the door closed
and wait until the door lock icon
disappears from the display.
y Allow the washer to complete the
programmed cycle, or press the
SPIN button.
y This is normal. The washing
machine automatically adjusts
the cycle time for the amount of
laundry, water pressure, water
temperature, and other operating
conditions.
y Use only HE (High-Efficiency)
detergent recommended for a front-
loading washing machine.
y See page 29, clean the inside and
outside of the washing machine
periodically.
