To remove the base of the Wen model 73012T, first press down on the seat cushion in a controlled, firm manner to loosen the seat assembly from the lifting pole. Then lift the seat assembly off the lifting pole. Once the seat is removed, pull the lifting pole out of the round opening in the center of the base assembly.
