Select the menu.

• Do not connect an external flash to the flash synchro socket after selecting [TC Output].
Doing so may cause the camera to malfunction.

Press [MENU/SET] to output the time code signal.
• The time code signal is output based on the frame rate in [Rec Quality] and the [Time
Code Mode] (DF/NDF) setting.

Operate the external device to synchronise the time code.

Press [MENU/SET] to stop outputting the time code signal.
∫ Synchronise the time code of the camera with that of the external device (TC IN)
The initial time code value of the camera is synchronised according to the time code signal
(LTC signal) of the external device.

Connect the external device, and follow the steps needed to prepare for time
code synchronisation. (P58)

Select the [System Frequency], [Rec Quality] and [Time Code Mode] (DF/NDF)
settings that suit the time code signal of the external device to be synchronised.

Press [MENU/SET] to receive the incoming time code signal.

Press [MENU/SET] to synchronise the time codes.
• When the time code is synchronised, it appears on the screen and the camera enters
slave state.
• When the camera is in slave state, the black and white of the time code display [
reversed.
• Even when the system frequency differs between the camera and the external device,
their initial time code values may be synchronised. Bear in mind, however, that the time
codes lose sync as they count up.
Outputs the time code signal for the images that you record.
Select this setting when using more than one recording device to
perform recording.
Outputs the time code signal with a slight delay so that it is adjusted to
HDMI images.
Select this setting when synchronising with an external recorder
connected with an HDMI cable.
• The [Recording Reference] setting is used for output when an HDMI
cable is not connected.
