    Introduction Thank you for purchasing the Avantes AvaLight-XE-HP. This light source will provide an outstanding performance. To make sure you get the best out of its performance, it is perfectly compatible with all Avantes AvaSpec spectrometers. The AvaLight-XE-HP high-power pulsed xenon light source is a high-power, high flash rate, short-arc xenon lamp for applications requiring absorbance, reflection, fluorescence and phosphorescence measurements.

    For pulse mode to be controlled by software it is needed to connect an AvaSpec spectrometer to the AvaLight-XE-HP with the Y interface cable. The other end of the Y cable goes to the power supply. Now it is possible to control the output operation mode by software (AvaSoft).
