WHERE TO USE

For optimal performance, only genuine Winix filters
should be used with your Winix Air Purifier
1.
Remove the front panel by grasping the upper
edges and gently pulling the front panel toward
yourself. The latch at the lower edge of the
panel must be released from its position.
2.
Press the tabs on the top edge of the Pre-Filter
to remove it.
3.
Remove the liner around the outside of the
Pre-Filter to reveal the adhesive tape.
4.
Attach the Pet Filter to the front of the Pre-Filter.
Press the adhesive tape around the edge of the
Pet Filter to adhere it to the Pet Filter.
5.
Insert the Pre-Filter. Insert the bottom tabs into the
slots on both sides of the lower part of the unit.
Rotate the top of the filter upward and snap the upper
tabs into the slots securing the Pre-Filter in place.
INITIAL OPERATION
1.
Remove the front panel by grasping its upper
edge and gently pulling forward.
2.
Remove the Pre-Filter, then the plastic bag of
filters behind it.
3.
Remove filters from protective plastic bag.
4.
Install the filters until they fit securely in place.

5.
After filters are installed, close the front panel.
6.
Insert the power cord into an electrical outlet.

Replace the front panel by first inserting the latch
at the bottom edge into the base of the unit, then
rotate the panel upward toward the top of the
unit until it magnetically snaps closed.

Resetting Filter Life:
After replacing your True HEPA Filter, place the Pre-Filter back in and
close the Front Panel. While the unit is on, use a small, thin object (such
as a paperclip) to hold the Filter Reset Button for at least 5 seconds
until you hear the beep. After the beep, the Filter Replacement
Indicator will disappear. Your Winix True HEPA is now reset.

01. Smart Sensor
Detects the amount of odorous gas in the
environment. When in Auto mode, the fan speed
adjusts according to the detected amount of gas.
02. Filter Replacement Indicator
LED light indicates when it is time to change the
filter.

After replacing the filters, turn the unit on and use a
thin object, such as a paper clip, to press the Filter
Reset Button for 5 seconds.
04. Fan Speed Indicator
Indicates the current fan speed.

Indicates whether PlasmaWave
disabled.
06. Timer Indicator
If timer has been set, the LED light indicates the set
time of operation.
07. Child Lock Indicator
LED light indicates whether Child Lock Mode is
enabled or disabled.
08. Light Sensor
Detects the amount of ambient light in the
environment.
09. Power Button
Turns the unit on or off.
• During the first 4 minutes of powering up, the
Air Quality light will flash as the Smart Sensors
measure the air quality in the environment, after
which normal detect will begin.
10. Mode Button
Press to cycle through to set the mode of operation
(Auto, Sleep). The unit will default to Auto with
®
PlasmaWave
enabled when first powered on.
Auto Mode:
• Auto Mode automatically adjusts fan speeds
according to your indoor air quality. The fan speed
will adjust to low when air quality is good, medium
PlasmaWave
®
when fair, and to high when poor.

Cleaning the Filters:
Use a vacuum cleaner or soft brush to clean the Pre-
Filter
• If it is excessively soiled, rinse in room
temperature water.
• Do not use detergent or soap.
• Allow the filter to dry for 24 hours or more before
using.
• Intervals between filter cleaning may vary
depending on the air quality in the environment.
To clean the Washable AOC
from unit and rinse under lightly running room
temperature water.

Cleaning the Smart Sensor:

Use a damp cotton swab to wipe
the lens and intake area of the
Smart Sensor.
• To clean the sensor area, use
only water. Do not use volatile
substances such as alcohol or acetone.

Wipe away any remaining moisture with a dry
cotton swab.
Sleep Mode:
• When Sleep Mode is activated, the Air Quality

• Press the Mode Button to select the desired fan

again for 3 seconds.
