Applications settings
Check or change the settings for some applications on your phone. To check or
change the settings, tap the app name on the list to see what settings are available.

Changing display settings

Adjusting the screen brightness manually

From the Start screen, tap the arrow (

Scroll down the screen, and then tap Settings > brightness.

Tap the Automatically adjust On/Off switch to turn it off.

Select the Level to use.
Adjusting the time before the screen turns off
After a period of inactivity, the phone screen turns off to conserve battery power. You
can set the idle time before the screen turns off.

Scroll down the screen, and then tap Settings > lock & wallpaper.

Tap the Screen time-out box, and then select the time before the screen turns
off.

Changing sound settings

Switching between silent and vibrate modes

From the Start screen, tap the arrow (

Scroll down the screen, and then tap Settings > ringtones & sound.

Tap the Vibrate On/Off switch to turn off vibrate.
When Vibrate is turned on, the phone goes to vibrate mode when the phone volume
level reaches zero. When Vibrate is turned off, the phone goes to silent mode when the
phone volume reaches zero.
Switching between silent, vibration, and normal modes
Change from normal mode to vibration or silent mode by pressing the
VOLUME DOWN button until the volume level reaches zero.
Change back from vibration or silent to normal mode by pressing the
VOLUME UP button.
Choose if you want to send feedback to Microsoft and to allow
the use of data connection when sending feedback.
