Setting ratings with the V-Chip button

To access R ating inform ation about a certain program , press the V-C

program . A display like this will appear:

PROGRAM IS RATED :

If you decide you want to block this category of viewing, press "0" while the above screen is

visible, and all program s from that category will be blocked.

Example 1:

If you want to set your V-C hip settings to block all program m ing above T V P G :

P ress Z

when T V-P G is displayed

V/ FV

All P rogram m ing above T V P G will be blocked.

Example 2:

If you want to set your V-C hip settings to block all program m ing above a current setting such as

T V P G -V (with violence):

P ress Z

when T V-P G - V is displayed

E R O

V/ FV

All P rogram m ing above T V P G - V (with V iolence) will be blocked.

• F or C hildren's program m ing you can block T V-Y and Y 7 program s by P ressing "0" when Y is

displayed during a program . P rogram m ing for audiences other than children's audiences will not be

affected.
