WELCOME TO
THE BOWHEAD FAMILY
PLEASE THOROUGHLY READ THE USER MANUAL AND SAFETY PROTOCOLS

GENERAL

• All riders must wear a helmet, leg strap and gloves when operating
the REACH.
• It is suggested to first practice on soft terrain such as grass to get used
to the articulation.
• Do not expose any part of the electrical system to excessive moisture.
If you do happen to get components wet, they must be dried out
immediately.
AND REMEMBER...
• Just like a typical bike, your REACH requires regular love and attention.
It is strongly recommended to do an overall bike inspection before every
ride & follow the maintenance schedule outlined in the user manual.

OPERATION

• Powering on your REACH E-bike involves 2 simple steps.
1. Turn the key clockwise in the ignition. Your throttle display will light
up indicating battery voltage.
2. Press & hold the 'M' button for 3 seconds. Your bike is now powered
on but will be in the lowest speed mode. Press 'up' 5x to reach the
maximum speed mode.

HARNESS

• The harness has 2 elastic straps that should be pulled as tight as
possible and then secured by hooking the lap belt onto itself.
1. The fully secured harness should feel like a firm hug but
not uncomfortable.
2. The harness is what secures you to the bike and allows you to control
the articulation.
The tighter the
harness, the better
your control of the
bike.

ARTICULATION

• The articulation pin must be removed and stored directly above its
locked position in the storage mount while riding.
(See corresponding image A below)
• Reinsert pin on by centering the arrow in the 2 holes
(See corresponding image B below)

ADJUSTMENTS

ADJUSTABLE FOOTREST SCREWS
The footrest can be adjusted by the two clamps using a 5mm hex key.
Slide to the desired position and re-torque to 8Nm (70in-lb).
The seat position can be adjusted by loosening the 4 (6 for swivel seat)
frame rail clamps using a 5mm hex key. Re-torque to 12Nm (106in-lb)
