Warning and safety instructions

This appliance complies with cur-

Before installation and before using
for the first time, read the operating
instructions carefully. They contain
important notes on safety and the
operation and care of the ap-
pliance. Please read these instruc-
tions carefully to prevent accidents
and machine damage.

This appliance is intended for domestic
use only for the preparation of es-
presso, cappuccino, coffee and hot
water for tea and similar drinks.
Any other use is not recommended by
the manufacturer and could be dan-
gerous. The manufacturer cannot be
held responsible for damage caused
by improper use of the appliance.

Technical safety
Before connecting the appliance to
the electrical supply, make sure
that the rating on the data plate corre-
sponds to the voltage and frequency of
the household electrical supply.
If in doubt, consult a qualified electri-
cian.
The electrical safety of this ap-
pliance can only be guaranteed
when continuity exists between the ap-
pliance and an effective grounding sys-
tem which complies with local and na-
tional regulations. It is imperative that
this basic safety requirement is tested
by a qualified electrician.
The manufacturer cannot be held re-
sponsible for the consequences of an
inadequate grounding system.
