    This software has been verified with common PCs and peripherals, but the software may not properly run on some models. ■ Do not connect the MT-05U to a PC before installing the USB driver. ■ Make sure to install the USB driver before connecting the MT-05U.

    CD drive of the PC. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the software. If it does not run automatically, use Windows Explorer to navigate to the CD-ROM directory, and run "Install.exe". If the following message appears, confirm that “SIBATA FitTest Software Install” is displayed and click [Yes]. “User Account Control...
  • Page 8 The installation program starts. Click [Communication Software]. The preparation for installation starts. To change the installation location, click [Browse…] and specify the desired folder. If you do not want to change the location, click [Next>].
  • Page 9 Installation starts. Once installation is completed, the dialogue box above will be displayed. Click [Close]. ■ Do not connect the MT-05U to the PC before installing the USB driver. ■ Make sure to install the USB driver before connecting the MT-05U.

    3-2 Installing USB Driver The MT-05U is equipped with a USB interface. Communication is available via the USB interface. To use this function, you must install the USB driver on your PC. Once you have installed the driver, it can be seamlessly used from the second time onward.
  • Page 11 The installation of the USB driver starts. If a dialogue box similar to the following appears during the process, click [Install] to proceed with the installation.
  • Page 12 Once installation is completed, the dialogue box below will be displayed. Click [Finish]. Click [Exit]. Click [Yes] to exit the installation program.

    3-3 Connecting PC to MT-05U Turn on the MT-05U, and connect it to the PC with USB cable (USB A - mini B). Installation is underway when the following message appears. Installation is completed when the following message appears. 4 Uninstalling Software When you re-install or upgrade the software, you must uninstall the currently installed software.
  • Page 14 Select “SIBATAFitTestSoftware” or”MT-05” and click [Uninstall]. Confirm the program name is correct and then click [Uninstall]. The uninstallation of the software is completed. ■ Do not uninstall the USB driver. Doing so may cause damage to other software.

    05U, also see the “MT-05U Operational Manual (Main Unit).” This PC software allows you to connect the MT-05U to a PC using a USB cable to collectively acquire logging data in the MT-05U, and then edit and print the acquired data.

    6 Starting Software Turn on the MT-05U, and connect it to the PC using a USB cable (USB-A -mini B). Start the software as follows. Windows logo →All apps →SST →MT05 →FitTest2 The folder names may differ depending on the PC setting and the OS.

    7 Startup Screen (Main Screen) Menu bar File Convert Convert data created with a fit tester of another company into the data format of the MT-05U. *Some data cannot be converted depending on the product. Exit Exit the PC software. Setup Configuration Open the Configuration for People Data window.

    While the PC software is communicating with the MT-05U, “ ” and the unit identification number are displayed on the screen of the MT-05U. In this status, the operation of the touch screen and [Start] button of the MT-05U is unavailable.

    9 Daily Check This function is allows you to check the operation of this product before starting the fit test. The daily check measurement is available from the PC software. Measurement of up to four units can be simultaneously performed. Check Data/Read Edit the daily check data.

    9-1 Check Data/Read This function allows you to edit the data file where the daily check measurement results are saved, acquire/delete all the daily check logging data of the MT-05U, and view/edit the list of acquired data. For details, see “18-2 Imports MT-05 Data.”...

    9-3 Start (Daily Check) Clicking the [Start] button starts the daily check measurement. Clicking the button for collective operation starts the measurement of all the units during communication. Clicking the button for individual operation enables the measurement of an individual unit during communication.

    9-4 Retry If an item is judged as “FAIL” during the daily check measurements (Minimum particle Check, Zero Check, Max Fit Factor Check), the measurement is suspended with the [Retry] and [Cancel] buttons displayed. Clicking the [Retry] button starts the re-measurement from the measurement item judged as FAIL.

    10 Fit Test This function allows you to operate the MT-05U from the PC software for performing operation from fit test measurement through to printing of a report. You can also edit the subject, mask, and protocol data. Measurement of up to four units can be simultaneously performed.

    10-2 Display by Measurement Unit This function allows you to set the display of the unit identification number and the availability of measurement of the unit. Each time you click the unit identification button, the display toggles between the unit identification number and “/”.

    10-3 Person This function allows you to edit or select subject data. For details, see “14 People.” 10-4 Respirator This function allows you to edit or select mask data. For details, see “15 Respirator.”...

    10-5 Mask Size Enter the size of the mask for the subject to wear. 10-6 Protocol This field shows the protocol used for the fit test measurement.

    Clicking the [Start] button starts the fit test measurement. If there is no capacity available for the logging data of the MT-05U when the fit test measurement starts, a confirmation message appears. Clicking [OK] starts the fit test measurement.

    10-9 New Test After the fit test measurement is finished, the [New Test], [Redo Test], and [Print / Preview Report] buttons are displayed. Clicking the [New Test] button enables you to perform new next measurement (measurement for another person or another mask). Enter or select information for the Person, Respirator, Mask Size, and Operator.

    11 View Fit Test Reports This function allows you to acquire fit test logging data of the MT-05U, create/edit subject and mask data, supplement/save fit test measurement results, and print reports and cards. The created fit test measurement results will be saved to the file displayed in “Save File”.

    11-1 Browse Reports This function allows you to edit, create, and delete a file for saving fit test measurement results, and select data to display and print. Clicking the [Brows Reports] button opens the Fit Test data window. The data of the file selected in the Data File are displayed.

    This function allows you to edit the file for saving the acquired fit test logging data, acquire/delete all fit test logging data on the MT-05U, and delete/select the data saved in the logging file. For details, see “18-1 Import MT-05 Data.”...

    11-5 Respirator This function allows you to check or edit subject data. The data acquired from [Brows Reports] using [Select Data] cannot be edited. See “15 Respirator.” 11-6 Mask Size Enter the size of the mask for the subject to wear.

    11-7 Protocol This field shows the protocol used for the fit test measurement. You cannot edit this information in the View Fit Test Reports page. 11-8 Test Date You can set the start date and time of measurement from the calendar display. Clicking the calendar icon displays a calendar.

    11-9 Due Date This field displays the due date of the next measurement calculated from the start date of measurement and the Next Test Due (number of months) of the protocol data. You can set the due date of the next measurement from the calendar display. Clicking the calendar icon displays a calendar.

    11-11 Save Save the fit test measurement results displayed on the main screen. With the items (Person and Respirator) displayed, the [Save] button becomes active. Click the [Save] button. The data are compared with the data in the list file being displayed for “Save File,” and if no identical measurement data are found, these data are added and saved.

    12 Fit Check Click the [Fit Check] button on the menu screen. Perform fit check measurement from the PC software. The fit check measurement can be performed without information in the People, Respirator, or Mask Size field. Check Data/Read Edit the fit check data. See “12-1 Check Data/Read.” Save File Specify the location to automatically save data.

    12-1 Check Data / Read This function allows you to edit a data file for saving fit check measurement results, acquire/delete all MT-05U fit check logging data, and browse/edit the list of acquired data. Select Report Select a data file. See “17-2 Select Report.”...

    12-7 New Check After the fit check measurement is finished, the [New Check] and [Redo Check] buttons are displayed. Click the [New Check] button to perform a new measurement (measurement of another person and mask). Select or enter information in the People, Respirator, or Mask Size field. The [Start] button is enabled and measurement can be started.

    13 Training This window is displayed when you click the [Training] button on the menu screen. Perform training measurement from the PC software. Display by Display data by measurement unit. See “10-2 Display by Measurement Unit Measurement Unit.” Mode Select Select measurement mode.

    13-1 Settings This window is displayed when you click the [Settings] button on the Training window. Specify training settings in this window. Click the [OK] button after specifying the settings. Purge time Specify the purge time. (10-99) Outside sample time Specify the measurement time of outside air.

    13-3 Record Clicking the [Record] button starts logging. The [Record] button is displayed during measurement. Clicking the [Record] button creates a CSV file in the folder using the [Save Folder] button and saves the training measurement data. Data saving continues until the [Rec Stop] or [END] button is clicked.

    14 People This function allows you to select and edit subject data. Clicking the [Person] button opens the People Data window. Edit, select, delete, and create subject data. The function of each button Select Report Select a data file. See “17-2 Select Report.” New Report Create a data file.
  • Page 46: Configuration

    Once you have filled in the fields, click the [Save] button, then the data are saved and displayed in the list. You can also edit the saved data from the list. When you click the [Save] button after editing the information, a confirmation message appears. Clicking [OK] overwrites the data.
  • Page 47 [Changing the CUSTOM label name] Enter a label name to be displayed in the textbox circled in red on the left. Leave it blank if you do not wish to display Custom data when printing a report. [Creating / editing the drop-down list] The following shows how to create/edit the drop-down list of the Company field.

When a textbox is displayed above the list, edit the information, and then click the [Rename] button. ● Deleting By selecting (highlighting) an item to delete from the list and clicking the [Delete] button, you can delete the item from the drop-down list.

    14-2 New Data When you click the [New Data] button, the person data entry fields become blank, and you can enter new mask data. Once you have filled in the fields, click the [Save] button to save the data. 14-3 Select Data After you select data, the [Select Data] button becomes active.

    15 Respirator Clicking the [Respirator] button in each screen opens the Respirator Data window. This function allows you to select and edit mask data. The mask to be displayed varies depending on the value in the Mode Select field. The function of each button Select Report Select a list file.
  • Page 51 You can also select data saved in the list and edit the data. When you click the [Save] button after editing the information, a confirmation message appears. Clicking [OK] overwrites the data.

    16 Protocol This function allows you to edit or select a protocol. Clicking the [Protocol] button opens the Protocol Table window. Select a protocol from the drop-down list. The details of the selected protocol are displayed. ■ You can edit the items and settings of the protocol but cannot add any data or rename the protocol.
  • Page 53 are used to calculate the measurement results for all steps. With this setting, the fit test can be performed in a short time. Next Test Due in Set the due date of the next measurement (0-24 months). Step/Excl This button toggles the display between the step number and “/” with each click.

    17 Selecting/Creating/Editing Data The following operations are common to the all pages. 17-1 Save File Select a data file where you want to save data. The View Fit Test Reports window is shown below. Click the [Save File] button. (The screen capture below is an example of the fit test measurement results data files.) When you select a file and click [Save], the data are reflected in the main screen.

    17-2 Select Report Select the data file you want to edit in each screen. ■ For Fit Test Data Click the [Browse Reports] button. ■ For Fit Test Log Data Click the [Import Reports] button. ■ For Daily Check Data and Fit Check Data Click the [Check Data/Read] button.
  • Page 56 Click the [Select Report] button in the page that you have opened. Example: Fit Test Data page Select a file and click [Open], and the page returns to the previous one with the saved data displayed.

    17-4 Delete Report This function allows you to delete a data file. Click the [Delete Report] button. Example: Fit Test Data page A confirmation window is displayed. Clicking the [OK] button deletes the data selected in the data file using the [Select Report] button.

    17-6 Delete Data This function allows you to delete data from a data file. Example: Fit Test Data page Select (highlight) data from the list, and then click the [Delete Data] button. You can also select (highlight) multiple data. Click [OK] on the confirmation message to delete the selected data from the select report.

    18 Import Reports This function allows you to edit a file for saving acquired MT-05U data, acquire or delete all the data in the MT-05U, and delete or select the data saved in the file. The View Reports window is shown below, however, the operations are common to all pages, with some exceptions.

    18-1 MT-05 Data This function allows you to display the amount of logging data saved in the MT-05U selected from the drop-down list. Amount of saved data/Maximum amount of saved data 18-2 Import MT-05 Data This function allows you to collectively acquire the logging data saved in the MT-05U, and select a file for saving the acquired data.

    18-3 Delete MT-05 Data This function allows you to delete all the logging data saved in the MT-05U. The fit test log data can be deleted from the Fit Test Log Data window. Click the [Delete MT-05 Data] button. Click [OK] on the confirmation message, then the logging data are all deleted.

    19 Printing This function allows you to print the displayed list when the [Print/Preview] button is displayed. You can click Report in the menu bar to open these windows. 19-1 Print Report/Card Setup This function allows you to make printing settings. From the Setup in the menu bar, click Print Report/Card Setup.

    19-2 Print Next Due Report The date and time for the next test is displayed based on the selected FTL file in this window. Select Report Select a data file. See “17-2 Select Report.” Search Edit the list display so that the list shows only files with the specified due date within the selected drop-down lists.(1-24,All,Passed) Print / Preview Display a screen for printing.

    Stop use this product immediately if a problem occurs during the operation. If the error has been caused by a failure in the MT-05U, do not use it again and request repair. Problems sometimes occur for reasons other than malfunction. Before requesting repair, check the following.
