19. TROUBLESHOOTING

Below is a list of some of the possible malfunctions.
If the problem cannot be resolved as described, contact Customer Services.
PROBLEM
The coffee is not hot.
The coffee is weak or not crea-
my enough.
The coffee is delivered too
slowly or a drop at a time.
Coffee does not come out
of one or both of the spouts
(A12).
The coffee beans have run out.
The pre-ground coffee funnel (A6)
is clogged.
The infuser has not been replaced
after cleaning (A11).
The inside of the appliance is very
dirty.
The filter (C4) is exhausted.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
The cups were not preheated.
The infuser has cooled down because 2/3
minutes have elapsed since the last coffee was
made.
A low coffee temperature is set.
The coffee is ground too coarsely.
The coffee is unsuitable.
The coffee is ground too finely.
The spouts are blocked.
Fill the beans container (A7).
Empty the funnel with the help of a knife, as
described in the section "12.8 Cleaning the
pre-ground coffee funnel".
Insert the infuser as described in the section
"12.9 Cleaning the infuser".
Clean the inside of the appliance thoroughly,
as described in the section "12. Cleaning". If
the message is still displayed after cleaning,
contact a service centre.
Replace the filter (see the section "Replacing
the water softener filter").
SOLUTION
Warm the cups by rinsing them with hot water.
Please note: the hot water or rinse function can
be used.
Before making coffee, heat up the infuser
(A11) by pressing the
Set a hotter coffee temperature (see the sec-
tion «8.5 Setting the temperature»).
Turn the grinding dial (A2) one click anti-
clockwise while the grinder is in operation (fig.
10). Continue one click at a time until coffee
delivery is satisfactory. The effect is only visible
after delivering 2 coffees (see section «9.4
Adjusting the coffee mill»).
Use pre-ground coffee for espresso machines.
Turn the grinding dial (A2) one click clockwise
while the grinder is in operation (fig. 10).
Continue one click at a time until coffee delive-
ry is satisfactory. The effect is only visible after
delivering 2 coffees (see section «9.4 Adjusting
the coffee mill»).
Clean the spouts with a toothpick.
