I can’t seem to “twist” the machine apart to clean. I’ve tried everything. No release button
To disassemble the Black & Decker HLVC315B11 for cleaning:
1. Turn off the device by sliding the on/off switch backward.
2. Twist the dust bowl (3) to the left to remove it from the housing.
3. Remove the filter housing (9) from the dust bowl.
4. Separate the pre-filter (9) and the filter (9a); wash them with water and let them dry completely.
5. Empty debris from the dust bowl and wash it with water, then dry it completely.
6. Clean the ventilation slots with a soft brush or dry cloth.
7. Wipe the motor housing with a damp cloth.
