IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS IMPORTANT: When installing or using any high voltage electrical appliance basic safety precautions should always be followed. Under no circumstance should you attempt to clean, install, inspect, repair, disassemble, or otherwise service this water heater without first shutting off all power to the unit directly at the circuit breaker box. - Page 7 Water Temperature Safety Safety and energy conservation are factors to be considered when selecting the water temperature setting of the water heater's thermostat. Water temperatures above 125°F can cause severe burns or death from scalding. Be sure to read and follow the warnings outlined on the label pictured below. The chart shown below may be used as a guide in determining the proper water temperature for your home to prevent burns.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS QUICK START GUIDE 1. Fix the mounting bracket on the back of the machine with locking screws. 2. Mark mounting holes on the wall. Drill pilot holes of ¼ inch diameter. Put expansion bolts into the holes, then screw the self tapping screws into the expansion bolts to attach the mounting hook. Attach the machine to the mounting hooks. -

Flush the pipe with water to remove any debris or loose particles before pipe connections, so as to avoid clogging. 3. It is required to use 1/2"NPT water connections for the EVT-9K connections. 4. Flexible water hoses are recommended to use with your hot water heater as part of installation. - Page 10 3. The unit must be connected to a properly grounded dedicated branch circuit of proper voltage rating. 4. The EVT-9K hot water unit needs a 40AMP double pole breaker and a set of 8AWG/2 wires with 240V Grounding wire for proper power supply.
