COMMON PROBLEMS

Communication cannot be established with the SX1211SK
Check the serial port
•
Verify that the SX1211SK is connected to the selected serial port. By default the COM1 is
selected. If the RS232 is connected to another com port, click on OK and select the right com port
in menu tool bar. The selected com port is displayed on the down-right corner of the screen.
Check the power supply
•
Verify that the SX1211SK is powered (the LED power indicator is ON)
•
Verify that the SX1211 RF module is well powered. If the SX1211SK is battery operated, a jumper
must be placed on module (default configuration)
•
Verify that the voltage of the battery or of the external source is between 2.4V and 3.6V.
Data Handler menu not enabled
An error message is displayed at the bottom right of the screen.
•
Data Handler function is available only if the SX1211SK is set in transmitter mode and if the
Buffered mode / Packet mode is enabled for the Buffered Handler Tx / Packet Hanlder Tx. To
activate on of these mode, click on Predefined>Data mode>...
