Before Using The Drill Press

WARNING: Some dust created
by power sanding, sawing, grinding,
drilling, and other construction
activities contains chemicals known
(to the State of California) to cause
cancer, birth defects or other repro-
ductive harm. Some examples of
these chemicals are:
• Lead from lead-bases paints,
• Crystalline silica from bricks and
cement and other masonry prod-
ucts, and
• Arsenic
and
chemically-treated lumber.
Your risk from these exposures var-
ies, depending on how often you do
this type of work. To reduce your
exposure to these chemicals: work
in a well ventilated area, and work
with approved safety equipment,
such as those dust masks that are
specially designed to filter out
microscopic particles.
WARNING: To reduce the risk
of mistakes that could cause seri-
ous, permanent injury, do not plug
the drill press in until the following
steps have been satisfactorily com-
pleted.

When Installing Or Moving The Drill Press

Reduce the Risk of Dangerous
Environment.
• Use the drill press in a dry, indoor
place protected from rain.
• Keep work area well lighted.
• Use recommended accessories.
The use of improper accessories
may cause risk of injury to persons.
To reduce the risk of injury from
unexpected drill press movement.
If there is any tendency of the drill

• Find and read all the warning labels
found on the drill press (shown
below).
