    PREPARING YOUR WATER BEFORE INSTALLATION ChlorKing® saline chlorination systems operate by utilizing the sodium chloride that has been added to the pool water, to produce sodium hypochlorite (liquid chlorine), through the process of electrolysis. In order for your ChlorKing® system to operate correctly, sodium chloride (salt) can be added directly to the pool at least 24 hours before the installation of the equipment.
