Taking Videos in Intelligent Auto Mode
You can record without worrying about the
setting details by using the Intelligent Auto
mode. Settings such as exposure and focus
will be adjusted automatically to suit the
shooting conditions.
In case of specific shooting scenes such
as person etc., its icon is displayed on
the screen.
Before recording an important scene, it
is recommended to conduct a trial
recording.
Press the M button to turn on the

power.
Press the A/B button to select the

video mode.

Set the recording dial to "i.AUTO".

Start recording.

Press again to stop.
Memo
This unit turns on immediately if the
power button is pressed within 5
minutes after the power is turned
off. (when "QUICK RESTART" is
set to "HIGH SPEED 2")
When "AUTO POWER OFF" is set
to "ON", this unit turns itself off
automatically to conserve power
when it is not operated for 5
minutes. (only when using the
battery pack)
Recording stops automatically as it
cannot be performed for 12 or more
consecutive hours according to
specifications.
Long periods of continuous
shooting are automatically split into
files of 30 minutes or up to 4 GB.
Do not remove the battery pack
while recording is in progress.
Zooming
The angle of view can be adjusted using
zoom.
Use the W end (wide angle end) to shoot
a wider field of view.
Use the T end (telephoto end) to
magnify the subject for shooting.
