To Begin Using Your Fan
Start by installing the battery.
To install the battery, first detach the battery
cover from the remote. To do this, place a thumb
or small object, on the grooved area on the
underside of the battery cover and push it gently
to the side, while simultaneously pulling the
compartment away from the body of the remote.
Insert 1 x CR2032 battery into the battery
compartment, taking care to ensure the positive
polarity is facing upwards.
Once the battery is in place, slide the battery
cover back into the remote. It will automatically
lock into place and secure the battery inside.
Assembling Your Fan
WARNING: Before performing any assembly or
maintenance, switch off and remove from power
supply.
Carefully remove the fan from the carton and
place it flat on the floor.
Turn the fan base upside down and locate the
right-angle bolt. Align the pole with the base unit,
then thread this bolt through the hole at the centre
of the fan base and turn it clockwise to tighten it
and secure the pole and base unit together
Once the pole is secured to the fan base, pull the
height adjustment tube out from the inside of the
main pole and set it to the desired height. Once
the pole has been adjusted to the desired height,
turn the tightening nut on the main pole counter-
clockwise to secure the height adjustment tube
into place.
Once the pole has been correctly adjusted, affix
the motor housing to it. To do this, insert the pole
into the hole at the base of the motor unit and turn
the tightening nut at the back clockwise to tighten
it and secure the motor housing into place.
When the motor has been secured into place,
turn the guard locking nut at the back of the blade
housing counter-clockwise to loosen it, then
remove it from the motor housing.
Once this nut has been loosened, affix the back
guard to the motor housing, taking care to ensure
the handle is located at the top. When the back
guard has been correctly positioned, replace the
guard locking nut and turn it clockwise to tighten
and secure the back guard into place.
(Original instructions)
When the back guard has been correctly installed,
push the fan blades through the spike at the front
of the fan, as far as they will go. When the blades
are in place, place the blade locking nut over them
and turn it clockwise to tighten and secure the
blades into place.
Once the fans are firmly in place, affix the front
guard to the back guard, taking care to ensure the
two are correctly positioned. The two guards are
correctly positioned when the screw holes at the
bottom are aligned.
When the front and back guards are correctly
aligned, push down the locking clips around the
rim of the front guard to secure them together.
Your fan is now ready for normal use.
