Inspect each component of the system following the uncrating instructions. Make sure all items on the packing list are included. Inspect all components to make sure no damage occurred during shipping.

HEAVY EQUIPMENT Crate includes heavy interior ramp which must be lowered to the ground by two people. The body shield assembly weighs ~ 54 pounds (24.5 kilograms) and must also be removed and handled by two people.

The ramp is now visible (Figure 6). Figure 6 Ramp Sections (folded) With the door open, remove the steel bolt on the right side, releasing the ramp’s two sections (Figure 7).

    If the body shield is damaged, it must be rechecked according to the Maintenance section of the User’s Guide (TIDI Products document 84000). Leaving the protective foam cover intact, carefully remove the body shield assembly and place them on a clean, flat surface.

The base weighs~ 660 pounds (300 kilograms) and is not intended to be lifted. Find the spring pin in Foam Block 1 from Figure 9. Place the spring pin into the hole on the far side of the column.

The Boom Arm weighs ~ 40 pounds (18 kilograms). Remove the screws holding the Boom Arm Straps (shown in red, 1 on each end) to the Crate Supports.

The drop tube weighs ~ 140 pounds (63.5 kilograms). Two people are required for handling. Remove the screws holding the Drop Tube Straps (shown in red, 1 on each end) to the Boom Arm Crate Supports.

The Support Plate weighs ~ 200 pounds (91 kilograms). (Forklift Required.) Remove the screws (locations marked below in red) that secure the Support Plate to the crate floor.

The other person must lift by the Outside Edges of the Body Shield (Figure 26).
