It is recommended to connect the safety valve drain inside the
heat generator to the exhaust circuit of the condensation, to
avoid flooding inside the room installation. If such connection
is envisaged, it is recommended to set up special collection
systems of water.
The appliance produces condensation water which it must be
continuously downloaded to ensure correct operation of the
boiler.
The condensate produced is acidic (with pH varying between
3.5 and 4.5) consequently the condensate pipe must be made
of corrosion resistant materials. The amount of condensate
produced varies according to the conditions of work of the
appliance. Consider, approximately, a maximum production of
1.3kg for each m3 of methane gas burnt.
It is necessary to observe the national and regional
regulations and the current installation regulations.
The condensate pipe must be placed in such a way as to
do not present stagnations which, in the presence of frost
or dirt, could create occlusions. Between siphon and device
of condensate neutralization must be inserted a ventilation
device.
Any resulting damage to the boiler from the infiltration of non
acid condensate inside the boiler properly evacuated, are not
covered by warranty.
It can be supplied with the heat generator on request a
condensate neutralizer (for for which technical characteristics
and performance please refer to specific technical
documentation).
The condensation water discharge towards the drain duct
must be visible. The drain must be fitted sloping, equipped
with a siphon on the sewer side and devices suitable for
Condensate neutralizer
The condensation water that comes from the appliances must
be disposed of and possibly neutralized, in compliance of the
national and local regulations in force.
Rinnai aiM during its operation can create a amount of
condensate between 7.5 and 22.4kg / h (depending on of the
model).
Rinnai Italia can provide neutralization as an accessory
condensate (our code FOT-KS000-031), this must be
positioned in the lower part of the single generator thermal or
of devices placed in battery.
The neutralizer consists of:
1 x condensate neutralization box;
1 x grid base, spacer and filter cloth;
1 x granulated loaded bag;
1 x DN20 threaded rubber holder fitting;
1 x Litmus Paper.
The condensate neutralizer, which can be ordered separately,
is suitable up to a maximum power of 350kW.

taking samples. In the event that the city drainage network
is located at a level above the condensate drain connection
of the boiler, it is necessary to provide a system of re-launch
(usually by means of a pump) capable of disposing of the
condensation produced.
The fittings and pipes of the condensate drainage system e of
the safety valve are not supplied by Rinnai.
A 10kg bag of granulate is already supplied.
