TIS-B Indication Considerations This is information is assuming that your IFD Navigator, • ADS-B Out Transponder and ADS-B In Receivers are all configured correctly and wired according to their Installation Documents the following data can explain some reasons why this message is displayed. •This could show the message shown on ground and in air.

TIS-B Indication EXCEEDANCES | ADVISORIES CYAN Short Text Long Text Comments Displayed when either not in view ADS-R/TIS-B Unavailable Traffic Information of an ADS-B ground station for at Incomplete least 40 seconds, OR, an ADS-B ground station is in view and is specifically reporting that your ADS-B Out signal is non- compliant.

TIS-B Indication On Ground •The TIS-B Indication is shown on the ground primarily due to the Ground Station not receiving your ADS-B Out information. •While the ADS-B In Device is receiving traffic information, the data package transmitted by the ground station does not include your tail number and ICAO Code.

TIS-B Indication In Air •When the aircraft is transmitting and receiving ADS-B Information to the same Ground Station, the data of your aircraft is included and thus the TIS-B Flag does not populate.

TIS-B Indication In Air •As your aircraft is progressing through the coverage areas. There may be times during transition when you are broadcasting ADS-B information to the Station you are flying towards while still receiving ADS-B Traffic and Weather from the Station you are flying away from. cause the ground station that you are receiving from to not be •This the same one you are transmitting to.
