Intended use

The mains priority switch is intended for distributing power supply in recreational vehicles (RV) with
two available voltage supplies.
The mains priority switch can be used according to the specified protection type after proper
installation and cable routing with suitable cable diameters and external strain relief. The device is
not suitable for outdoor use.
This product is only suitable for the intended purpose and application in accordance with these
instructions.
This manual provides information that is necessary for proper installation and/or operation of the
product. Poor installation and/or improper operating or maintenance will result in unsatisfactory
performance and a possible failure.
The manufacturer accepts no liability for any injury or damage to the product resulting from:
• Incorrect assembly or connection, including excess voltage
• Incorrect maintenance or use of spare parts other than original spare parts provided by the man-
ufacturer
• Alterations to the product without express permission from the manufacturer
• Use for purposes other than those described in this manual

Technical description

If a mains voltage and voltage generated by the inverter (RV house battery) are both connected to
the device, the use of the mains voltage has priority (fig. 1, page 3). If only voltage generated by
the inverter is available, the power supply from the battery is used (fig. 2, page 4). This ensures
that the limited power of the battery is only used when necessary.

Installation

7.1
Choosing a location
Install the device in a clean area inside the RV where it is protected against vibrations, explosive
materials, moisture, heat, and pollution.
