    7.1.1 Power Supply 7.1.1.1 SAFETIS Indoor Power Supply You can power your SAFETIS with M12 5‐pin cable. Voltage between VCC and GND pins must be within range 18VDC ‐ 32VDC. You can see the power connector pinout in the Figure 7.1a.

    (a) Power supply connector table To power‐on the SAFETIS, connect the power wires to the board power supply connector J3 (230VAC or 110VAC) as shown on the figure 7.2, following the connector labelling for polarity as explained in 7.3b. Connect the camera to the J4 connector.

    7.1.2 Digital Outputs You can use 7 Digital Outputs of your SAFETIS with M12 8‐pin cable. Each Digital Output is set as an open collector circuit. You can see the Digital Outputs connector pinout in the Figure 7.4a and output’s schematics and example circuit in the Figure 7.5.

    IP address can be changed later. All the users need for configuring and controlling the SAFETIS is computer or tablet with at least 10” screen with web browser. The built in web server should be running few seconds after the SAFETIS boots up.

    8.1.4 Admin and Operator Modes As with the two kind of users, there are two basic modes with different web pages on SAFETIS web server. If administrator logs in to web server, the ”Admin Mode” starts. If operator logs in, the ”Operator Mode” starts.

    The SAFETIS will continue a measurement until the operator stops the measurement session. 8.2.2 Digital outputs During the measurement session, the SAFETIS will produce the digital outputs according to the settings. These signals should be controlled from the PLC unit.

    For setting the new IP address or subnet mask, fill the numbers and press the Set Network button. After that, SAFETIS will reboot and start with the new IP address. You have to change the address in your web browser to the new one for connecting to the SAFETIS.

    Whereas administrator can set the settings for the measurement, the operator controls the measurement itself. 11.1 Graphical interface On Log‐in screen, select operator, type password and log in. After operator mode starts, SAFETIS needs few seconds to prepare measurement and load the settings.

Confirm your action by clicking the Ok button. 11.3 Measurement session When the measurement starts, the SAFETIS saves the state and continue the measurement until stopped by the operator or administrator. 11.3.1 Web server during measurement session Even when the Internet browser is closed or the Ethernet connection fails, after reconnecting to the web server the operator is informed about the ongoing measurement.

  • Page 46 The sensor starts warming‐up automatically when the user turns Workswell SAFETIS system on. The infrared camera is usually ready in less than 5 minutes. During the warm‐up process the accuracy of the measured temperature data is lower and various defects can appear in the thermal image.
