URPOSE
To adjust shutter speeds. If the maximum shutter speed is within the limits, all shutter
speeds have been adjusted.
CAUTION
• Check the shutter curtain speed. If it is not within the limits, the curtain
speed must be adjusted. It cannot be adjusted. If it is within the limits,
replace the shutter unit.
Curtain speed limits
First curtain travel time
Second curtain travel time 4.8 ± 0.2 ms

REPARATIONS
1) Mount the EF 50 mm f/1.8 lens on the camera as shown in the figure, and set the
EF-8000 to the shutter speed measurement mode.
2) Start up the adjustment software, connect the Multiple Tool II or HS-I/F, and select
[F1] Shutter Adjustment from the MAIN MENU.
