ENGINE AIR FILTERS SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION: Check to make sure both inner and outer air filters are seated properly.
LOOSE, DAMAGED OR INCORRECTLY INSTALLED FILTERS WILL CAUSE
SERIOUS ENGINE DAMAGE.
DAILY MAINTENANCE:
The amount of dust in the air will determine the frequency that the air filter system should
be serviced.
In very dusty conditions you may elect to perform items 1-10 daily.
In clean conditions you may elect to perform item 1 daily and items 1-10 weekly.
1. Empty dust discharge valve. Press lips apart of discharge slot. Clean slot from time
to time.
2. Remove service cover.
3. Gently pull the outer filter out of the filter housing. Avoid dislodging dust from
the filter.
4. Carefully wipe the inside of the outer tube with a clean cloth. Be careful not to
damage the inner safety cartridge.
