    Circuitry within the TLS-IB Console barrier forms an intrinsically safe, energy-limited system. This system makes TLS-IB probes safe for use in a Class I, Group D hazardous location. TLS-IB probe wiring is intrinsically safe only when connected to Veeder-Root's TLS-IB Consoles.

Probe wiring and conduits must enter the TLS-IB only through their designated areas (see Figure 12). 4. Power and communication wires and conduit must not enter the intrinsically safe compartment of the TLS-IB.
