3.7 Power Management Setup

The Power Management Setup allows you to configure you system to most effectively save
energy while operating in a manner consistent with your own style of computer use.
ACPI Function : This item allows you to enable or disable the Advanced Configuration and
Power Management (ACPI). The settings are "Enabled" and "Disabled".
Power Management :
This category allows you to select the type (or degree) of power saving and is directly
related to the following modes:
1. HDD Power Down
2. Doze Mode
3. Suspend Mode
There are four selections for Power Management, three of which have fixed mode
settings.
User Defined
Video Off In Suspend This determines the manner in which the monitor is blanked.
Video Off Method
This determines the manner in which the monitor is blanked.
Disable
No power management. Disables all four modes
(default)
Minimum power management. Doze Mode = 1 hr. Standby
Min. Power
Mode = 1 hr., Suspend Mode = 1 hr., and HDD Power Down =
Saving
15 min.
Maximum power management – ONLY AVAILABLE FOR
SL CPU's.
Max. Power
Doze Mode = 1 min., Standby Mode = 1 min., Suspend Mode =
Saving
1 min., and HDD Power Down = 1 min.
Allows you to set each mode individually. When not disabled,
each of the ranges are from 1 min. to 1 hr. except for HDD
Power Down which ranges from 1 min. to 15 min. and disable.
Configuration options: Suspend->off / Always ON
