Quick Start Guide

Meet the next generation of the NextCentury Transceiver. The TR4-X (outdoor)

is part of an advanced meter-reading solution that can transform almost any

meter into a wireless smart meter, enabling it to automatically connect to the

NextCentury Cloud Platform. Setup and installation of the outdoor Transceiver

is quick and easy.

Meter+™ Technology

Meter+™ Technology has been developed to allow the Transceiver (TR4-X)

model to connect to virtually all modern submeter outputs. These include a

variety of different pulse-out meters as well as encoded output meters.

Meter+™ Encoder technology supports Sensus, Neptune, Amco, Elster, and

GWF 3-wire protocols. Simply wire the meter and Transceiver with the proper

conﬁguration, and it will automatically detect which protocol to use. The

Meter+™ Smart Pulse detection allows the Transceiver to detect, correct, and

report faulty (ghosting) reed switches.
