Remove the wing nut and then remove the air filter
assembly.

Remove the foam element.

Wash the foam element in white kerosene and dry
it.
WARNING
Never use white kerosene while smoking or in the
vicinity of an open flame.

Check the foam element and replace it if neces-
sary.
6.
Oil the foam element and squeeze out excess oil.
The foam element should be wet but not dripping.
Recommended oil:
Foam-air-filter oil or engine oil (See page 29)
NOTICE
Do not wring out the foam element when squeezing
it. This could cause it to tear.
7.
Clean the air filter by blowing it from the inside with
compressed air.
8.
Check the air filter and replace it if necessary.
