SPARK PLUGS

Refer to the Safety Precautions on page 67.

Recommended plugs:

Standard:
CR9EH-9 (NGK) or
U27FER 9 (NIPPONDENSO)
For cold climate: (Below 5`C, 41`F)
CR8EH-9 (NGK) or
U24FER 9 (NIPPONDENSO)
NOTICE
Never use a spark plug with an improper heat
range. Severe engine damage could result.
Access to rear cylinder spark plugs:
1. Remove the side cover (page 51).

Access to front cylinder spark plugs:

1. Remove both side of the middle fairing (page
50).
2. Remove the mounting bolt(1) attaching the
bottom of the radiator (2).
3. Remove the oil hose (3) from the radiator
clamps (4).
4. Raise the radiator.
