Important Safety Instructions

READ AND SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS. This manual will help you to understand, use and
maintain your unit. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not use this fan with any solid-state
speed control device.
The Cleanaire D2000 System is a UL certified product. For your safety, please read and adhere to the
following precautions:
1. Always unplug the unit prior to moving. Keep the unit unplugged during periods of prolonged
inactivity.
2. If water does enter the unit or the unit is immersed in water, do not turn the unit on. Failure to
follow this procedure MAY RESULT IN ELECTROCUTION.
Note: The water in the unit would likely cause permanent damage to the unit.
3. The unit will not operate if either the top or the front grill is opened. This is a built-in safety
feature. After changing the filter or UV lamp, make sure that the grill is correctly reinstalled.
4. Check the power cord to make sure there is no sign of damage prior to use.
5. Always place the unit on a flat surface. Do not place the unit too close to a heat source such as
stoves, radiators, or any other heating devices.

Operation Instructions

Placement of the Unit

In order to obtain the maximum performance, place your unit in a location that will not
restrict airflow through either the air inlet or the air outlet.

Press POWER button to turn on the unit. This will turn on the control panel lights as well
as the ultraviolet lamp. If you do not want to use the UV Light, you can remove the bulb.

Look into the air outlet at the top of the cabinet and confirm that the ultraviolet lamp is
operating. You will see a blue glow when the lamp is on. If the lamp appears to be off,
make sure the top and front grills are properly secured.

Set Room Size

Estimate your room size and set your choice accordingly. The following information
should be used as a guide when selecting your room size:
