    5.2 INSTALLATION ON A Mac OS 9.2 After restarting the Macintosh, the “FinePixViewer installation completed” message appears. Click “Using FinePixViewer” to view the basic FinePixViewer functions. To install Acrobat Reader, click “Install Acrobat Reader”. ● Install Adobe Systems’ Acrobat Reader software to read the FinePixViewer User’s Guide (PDF). If the latest version already has been installed, this step is not required.

    6.3 CONNECTING TO A PC The “Connecting to a PC” section explains how to connect the camera to your PC using the USB cable (included) and describes the functions you can use once the camera and PC are connected. If the power cuts out during data transmission, the data will not be transmitted correctly. Always use the AC power adapter when connecting the camera to a PC.

    AF/AE Lock On the FinePix S3100 / FinePix S3500, pressing the shutter button down half way locks the focus and exposure settings (AF and AE lock). If you want to focus on a subject that is not centered in the frame or change the picture composition after the exposure is set, you can obtain good results by changing the composition after the AF and AE settings are locked.
