Please ensure that the cable is plugged fully onto the header and that the ring tag is orientation as
the example above.
7.2.8 OCR head dis-assembly and assembly
The OCR head is fixed to the steel guide plate by 2 small screws. Remove the small screws
carefully along with their star washers.
Carefully remove the two small miniature connectors from the OCR engine PCB. You may require
the aid of long nose pliers. Be careful not to snag the cable from the connector.
To assemble follow the instructions in reverse.
All supplied OCR heads have a protective tape placed on the OCR glass. Please ensure that this is
removed prior to operation of the unit.
An assembled OCR head needs to be calibrated prior to operation using the Access OCR Service
card as described in Section 3.2.1, ''Calibration of the OCR engine''.
