4.3 Cooking zones
Here you can find an overview of the cooking zones avail-
able on your cooktop. Place the cookware on the cooking
zone that best matches its size.
When a cooking zone is active, the corresponding displays
light up.
Symbol Cooking zone
Single cooking zone
Dual cooking zone
Triple cooking zone
Bridge zone
Notes
¡ The cooking zone regulates the temperature by
switching the heat on and off. The heat may also switch
on and off when on the highest power level.
– This protects components from overheating.
– The appliance is protected from electrical overload.
– Better cooking results are achieved.
¡ For cooking zones with more than one heating element,
the different sections of the cooking zone may turn on
and off at different intervals.

5.1 Turning the cooktop on

5.2 Turning the cooktop off
Press and hold
until all indicators go out.
a All cooking zones are turned off.
a The residual heat indicators remain lit until the cooking
zones have cooled off sufficiently.
Note: The cooktop turns off automatically when all the
cooking zones have been turned off for more than 20 sec-
onds.
5.3 Cooking zone settings
In order to make settings on a cooking zone, the cooking
zone has to be selected.
Set the desired power level for each cooking zone in the
settings area.

Function
Only one cooking zone size is available.

The bridge zone combines two cooking zones to a long griddle zone.

Note: Do not use cookware larger than 17" x 10" (430 x 250 mm).
