Stopping the engine (03_29)

•
Release the throttle grip (1), brake gradually and simultaneously downshift
to slow down.
Once the speed is reduced, before stopping the vehicle:
•
Operate the clutch lever (2) so that engine does not shut off.
When the vehicle is at standstill:
•
Put the gear lever in neutral until the letter "N" (neutral) appears on the digital
display and the respective indicator lamp lights.
•
03_29 Release the clutch lever.
•
While at a temporary halt, keep at least one of the vehicle brakes held.
CAUTION
WHENEVER POSSIBLE, AVOID ROUGH BRAKING, SUDDEN DECELERATION
AND BRAKING IN EXCESS.

Parking

It is very important to select an adequate parking spot, in compliance with road signals
and the guidelines described below.
CAUTION
PARK ON SAFE AND LEVEL GROUND TO PREVENT THE VEHICLE FROM FALL-
ING.
DO NOT LEAN THE VEHICLE AGAINST A WALL OR LAY IT ON THE GROUND.
ENSURE THAT THE VEHICLE AND, IN PARTICULAR, PARTS OF THE VEHICLE
WHICH MAY BECOME HOT (ENGINE, OIL RADIATOR AND LINES, EXHAUST
SYSTEM, BRAKE DISCS) ARE NOT A HAZARD TO PERSONS OR CHILDREN.
