General description Smart Power Module System (SPMS) is a modular system for powering Power over Ethernet devices with different pin out. Each module performs its function independently and guarantees maximum reliability and protection. Surge Protector Passthrough is a passthrough surge arrester that can be plugged into a Power over Ethernet line to prevent damage caused by surges. Just connect the two ports without making any changes to what is applied to the input, simply by adding an arresters protection to the line. -

(Optional) Insert the modules on the rack bracket or on the din bar. • Wire the power supply (Optional standalone ACDC-48 or ACDC-24 power supplies provided separately by 9dot). • Connect the power supply pins of the power supply to each module. -

SPI PoE injector modules are passive injectors. IMPORTANT NOTE: Unlike active PoE, passive PoE does not use any protocol to determine the type of device to be powered; it simply applies a type of voltage to its port without identifying which type of PoE standard or supply voltage the connected load is compatible with.
