Quality Assurance

The quality of Motorola's products is legendary and the new P Series of Professional Portable
Radios is no exception.
2.1.1 Accelerated Life Testing
Each model in the P Series has passed, the rigorous Motorola Accelerated Life Test. This testing
simulates 5 years hard use in the Þeld and is a clear indication of Motorola's high build quality and
product durability.
2.1.2 Environmental Protection
All P Series radios have been designed and tested by Motorola to meet the European standard
speciÞcation IP54 and the US Military Standards 810 C,D and E.
IP54 : This standard demonstrates the radio's ability to withstand driving rain and dust directed at
the radio from all directions.
Military Standards 810 C,D and E : These Military Standards ensure continued radio operation in
rough environments. All radios in the P Series meet the following speciÞcations :
Low Pressure
High Temperature
Rain
Humidity
Salt Fog
Dust
Vibration
Shock

Factory Mutual Approval (FM)

Factory Mutual (FM) radios have been approved by the Factory Mutual Research Corporation. All of
the P Series of Professional Entry Level Radios are FM approved.
