PREPARATIONS FOR USE Charging the batteries Do not insert objects aside from the safe- ty plug and battery charger plug into the charging socket. – Risk of a short circuit! To charge the batteries, first turn off the con- trol module, then insert the battery charger plug into the distributor box socket (14).

Lock The lock is engaged if a padlock [1] ap- pears when you press ON. Your electric wheelchair can be locked to protect it against unauthorised use. While this is not configured by default, your dis- tributor can add this feature on request. Activating the lock Button functions 1.

The lock key feature After you turn on the control module, plug the lock key [1] into the charging socket (14). Remove the lock key plug after you hear a short <beep>. ☞ The electronics disable Drive mode and are automatically shut down. Deactivating the lock Button functions 1.

Attendant control Before or while driving, each time you press the button (3), the maximum speed setting increases one level, up to a maximum level of 5. If you press the button again on level 5, the maximum speed will return to level 1, the lowest setting.
Speed levels The max. speed level must be selected according to your personal circumstances and particular driving situation! Select a low speed level in hazard situa- tions where you feel insecure (e.g. driving in confined spaces, downhill, on ramps, in pedestrian zones or similar).
MODE MENU Only press the Mode button when the electric wheelchair is in a stationary po- Drive mode sition. By pushing the MODE button, you can tog- gle between Drive mode, Settings mode and other active modes such as Bluetooth or IR [1].

JOYSTICK Do not move the joystick until the battery indicator (2) steadily lights up. Driving and steering manoeuvres The joystick (1) on the electric wheelchair is used for acceleration and braking. Slow- ly move the joystick in the desired driving direction.

ATTENDANT CONTROL Attendant control is only available with the Omni 2 control module. ☞ Follow the instructions in the chapter Overview on page 8. Selecting a control mode When the ON/OFF button (7) is pressed on the Omni 2 control module, the last control mode that was set is automatically recalled and reactivated.

Driving program Up to eight driving profiles can be selected by pressing the Profiles button (6). The different properties of the driving pro- grams allow you to set the electric wheel- chair’s drive characteristics to suit particular driving conditions. For example, separate programs can be downloaded to enable the use of special controllers.

GYRO Gyro must be deactivated prior to/during any transport in a moving vehicle. This can be done by selecting a special driving program suited to these conditions. The Gyro, which is standard in FWD and FWDS, helps to right the wheelchair when it would otherwise tilt or topple over, such as on uneven terrain.

IR PROGRAMMING Follow the instructions in the external de- vice’s operating manual. External devices with IR remote control, e.g. a television, can be controlled via the con- trol module. Entering IR remote control codes 1. Press and hold the hazard light for 3 seconds.

BLUETOOTH Follow the instructions in the external de- vice’s operating manual. The Bluetooth menu shows all devices that are connected via Bluetooth. External devices with a Bluetooth interface, e.g. a smartphone, can be controlled via the joystick. ☞ Set-up requires the assistance of your service representative.
