Cold room
The appliance defrosts
automatically.
The defrost water runs through
the defrost water channels and the drain
hole to the evaporating part of the
appliance.
freezer room
The freezer compartment is not defrosted
automatically because the frozen food is not
allowed to defrost. A layer of frost in the
freezer compartment reduces the cold
release to the frozen food, which means that
power consumption is increased. Periodically
remove the layer of frost or ice.

Attention
Do not scrape a layer of frost or ice with a
knife or sharp object. This can damage
the cooling pipes. Refrigerant escaping
may catch fire or cause eye damage.
You proceed as follows:

Approx. 4 hours before defrosting
switch on the super freezing system so
that the food reaches a very low
temperature and can therefore be stored
longer at ambient temperature.
1. Switch off the appliance to
defrost.
2. Pull out the mains plug or unscrew or
disconnect the fuse.
Switch off.
3. Freezer drawers with
keep the food in a cool place. Place
the cold battery (if present) on the
food.
4. Open the defrost water drain. Fig.3
5. The large bottle shelf can be used to
collect the defrosted water. To do this,
remove the shelf for large bottles (see
chapter Cleaning the device) and place
it under the open defrost water drain.
6. To speed up the defrosting process,
place two pans of hot water on a
trivet in the appliance.
7. After defrosting, pour out the collected
defrost water. The remaining defrost
water on the bottom of
wipe the freezer compartment with a
sponge.
8. Close the defrost water drain.
9. Place the shelf for large bottles back in
the door.
10.After defrosting, reconnect the
appliance and switch it on.
