CAMZWEXT3N – CCTV SECURITY SYSTEM WITH AUDIO & MOVEMENT
1. Introduction
The CAMZWEXT3N is a user-friendly camera system, easy to install and with the following characteristics : a built-in
PIR sensor, two-way intercom, a control unit triggered by audio or PIR and video start system. The CAMZWEXT3N
can be used both indoors and outdoors, provided the mounting location is sheltered. This camera plugs into the
SCART socket of a standard TV, where the image is automatically tuned to the AV channel. The TV will show the
camera view whenever the control unit is activated via PIR or audio. The TV will also display the camera picture
when you press the intercom button, but only if your TV has auto-SCART triggering. You can have the camera send
an IR code to the VCR, instructing the VCR to record the camera picture automatically.

- Page 2 Attach the camera to the ball-joint arm by carefully tightening the small screw on the base of the camera arm. Be careful not to overtighten the screw. Plug the camera's male mini-DIN plug into the female mini-DIN socket (marked "TV") on the CAMZWEXT3N's control unit. Connect the VCR SCART plug with the "AV1" SCART socket of your VCR marked "VCR".
- Page 3 VCR Learn Mode programme the IR codes of your VCR's remote control into the CAMZWEXT3N. The CAMZWEXT3N is now able to perform the functions of the remote control. This means that, via the supplied IR transmitter, the video will automatically record an image generated by the camera when triggered (and also end the recording afterwards).
- Page 4 Consequently, you should also read the manuals for your TV and your VCR. • When the CAMZWEXT3N is in VCR mode and the control unit is triggered, the latter will have the VCR record on the tape that is currently loaded into the VCR.
- Page 5 LEARN mode has been activated. g) VCR recording mode Press the VCR button on the control unit. The VCR LED will illuminate, indicating that the CAMZWEXT3N is in VCR mode. Whenever the camera triggers the control unit, the latter automatically transmits the IR code sequence to the VCR, which duly starts its recording.
