Possible Causes

What To Do
• Wait 24 hours for the refrigerator to completely
cool down.
• This is normal.
• Check to see if package is holding door open.
• This is normal.

• Set the temperature control one step colder.

• Check to see if package is holding door open.
• Move items away from the back wall of the freezer.
• On power switch models, set the power switch to the O (off)
position. On feeler arm models, move the feeler arm to the
STOP (up) position. Keeping the power switch in the I (on)
position or the feeler arm in the ON (down) position will
damage the water valve.
• Replace filter cartridge with new cartridge or with plug.
• On power switch models, set the power switch to the
I (on) position. On feeler arm models, move the feeler
arm to the ON (down) position.

• Wait 24 hours for the refrigerator to completely cool down.
• Level cubes by hand.
• Turn off the icemaker, remove cubes and turn the
icemaker back on.
• Empty and wash bin. Discard old cubes.
• Wrap foods well.

• Check to see if package is holding door open.

• A newly installed refrigerator may take 12–24 hours
to begin making ice cubes.
• Wipe surface dry; then adjust the fresh food control
setting one number higher and check again in 24 hours.
• Foods with strong odors should be tightly wrapped.
• Keep an open box of baking soda in the refrigerator;
replace every three months.
