Step 9: All the zip ties have been removed.
Step 11: Remove the cable from the side gray clip.
Step 13: The cable has been removed from the chan-
nel. You need to unplug the other end from the main
board, Step 14.
Step 15: Once the cable ends are removed from the
main board, pull the cables out as shown. Place the old
cable aside.
Step 10: Turn the carriage over. You need to pull the
connectors off the carriage board pins. NOTE: Be
careful not to bend those small pins.
Step 12: Once it has cleared the clip, you can pull the
cable from the channel (arrow).
Step 14: Gently remove each head from the main
board. NOTE: Try to pull straight out. Avoid bend-
ing the copper pins. They will need to be straight
when placing the new cable.
Step 17 starts with installing the
new cable.
