3. Using the Appliance
a. CAUTION: accessible parts may become very hot. Keep young children
away from the appliance.
Do not move the unit when in use. The use of protective gloves is

recommended.
To light the appliance push the valve knob in for approximately 15
c.
seconds, then turn knob anticlockwise until the piezo ignites and lights
the burner. If the burner fails to light, wait a few seconds and repeat until
the burner lights. Keep the knob pushed in for approximately another 15
seconds to allow the burners thermocouple to heat up then release the
knob, the burner is now operating at maximum flame.
To reduce flame, turn the knob anticlockwise from maximum to desired

setting or minimum position(See Fig 1).
After use, always ensure that the control knob is turned fully clockwise

to the "OFF" position and the cylinder valve is closed. When the
appliance has cooled down sufficiently, it may be packed away.
4. Changing the gas cylinder
a. Check the burner is extinguished before disconnecting the appliance
from the gas cylinder by turning the control knob fully closed, then
loose hose and regulator from the cylinder
