HOW TO CONNECT ELECTRICITY
Do not , under any circumst ances, cut or remove t he t hird
(ground) prong from t he power cord. For personal safet y,
t his appliance must be properly grounded.
DO NOT use an adapt er plug wit h t his appliance.
The power cord of t his appliance is equipped wit h a 3- prong
(grounding) plug which mat es wit h a st andard 3- prong
(grounding) wall out let t o minimize t he possibilit y of elect ric
shock hazard from t his appliance.
Power cord includes a current int errupt er device. A t est
and reset but t on is provided on t he plug case. The device
should be t est ed on a periodic basis by first pressing t he

t he bat t ery compart ment does not close securely, st op
using t he product , remove t he bat t eries, and keep it away
from children.

RESET
• DO NOT use surge prot ect ors or mult i- out let adapt ors
wit h t his Window Air Condit ioner.
Have t he wall out let and circuit checked by a qualified
elect rician t o make sure t he out let is properly grounded.
Where a 2- prong wall out let is encount ered, it is your
personal responsibilit y and obligat ion t o have it replaced
wit h a properly grounded 3- prong wall out let .
The air condit ioner should always be plugged int o it s own
individual elect rical out let which has a volt age rat ing t hat
mat ches t he rat ing plat e.
This provides t he best performance and also prevent s
overloading house wiring circuit s which could cause a fire
hazard from overheat ed wires.
See t he Inst allat ion Inst ruct ions, Elect rical Requirement s
sect ion for specific elect rical connect ion requirement s.
• If you t hink bat t eries might have been swallowed or placed
inside any part of t he body, seek immediat e medical
at t ent ion.
• The cells shall be disposed of properly, including keeping
t hem away from children.
Even used cells may cause injury.
