NORMAL OPERATING SOUNDS

• You may hear a pinging noise caused by wat er being picked up and t hrown against t he condenser on rainy days or when t he
humidit y is high. This design feat ure helps remove moist ure and improve efficiency.
• You may hear t he t hermost at click when t he compressor cycles on and off.
• Wat er will collect in t he base pan duringhigh humidit y or on rainy days. The wat er may overflow and drip from t he out door
sideof t he unit .
• The fan may run even when t he compressor does not .
• Wat er droplet s being t hrown against t he out side coils can make a pinging noise. This helps cool t he condenser. You can
reduce t his noise by removing t he subbase wat er plug.
To ensure maximum efficiency it is recommended t o check t o ensure t he rubber drain plug is properly insert ed. This plug
may be removed during operat ion t o minimize wat er in t he back of t he unit ; however, removing it will lower t he efficiency
of your unit .
NOTE: Do not drill hole in t he base pan.
