To perform your first synchronization

May be either on or off, but do not turn it on or off during synchronization
May be either open or closed
IMPORTANT: If you are a Palm user, see "Transferring information between
Palm devices" in Chapter 4 of the Reference Guide before you synchronize your
phone.
1. On your computer, double-click the Kyocera smartphone Desktop icon (or
select Kyocera smartphone Desktop from the Start menu).
2. Click in the Windows system tray. In the menu, make sure Local is
checked. Then click Setup.
3. In the Setup window, click the Local tab. In the Serial Port field, select
the port where you connected the cable. Click OK.
