Marking track numbers
automatically while
recording (Level Synchro
Recording)
You can number tracks automatically while
recording a CD inserted in the recorder. By
marking track numbers at specific points, you
can quickly locate the points later or edit the
HDD easily.
However, tracks may not be automatically
numbered when you record from an external
device through the DIGITAL OPTICAL IN
connector, or when there is noise in the sound
source being recorded (e.g., tapes or radio
programs recorded through the ANALOG IN
connector).
When recording from an external device, do the
following procedure to add track numbers
automatically. A track number is added
whenever the input signal level drops below the
trigger level for about 1.5 seconds or more and
then rises above it again.
Notes for Level Synchro Recording
• When recording from an external device connected
to the DIGITAL OPTICAL IN connector, the entire
material might be recorded as a single track.
• When recording from an external device connected
to the ANALOG IN jacks with "Tr.Mark Off"
selected or when recording from a DAT deck or
DBS tuner connected to the DIGITAL OPTICAL
IN connector, the entire material may be recorded
as a single track.
